Book in 2025 for Summer of 2026 to secure the 2025 rate!

Payments

A 50% deposit is required upfront with the remaining 50% to be paid when the manuscript is edited and ready to be returned to the author. Payment plans are available upon request. Contracts in place with deposit received to hold your editing reservation before edits will begin.

Returning Client Discount

Returning clients get the first chance to book services at current rates before any raised prices, as well as notifications of openings, sales, specials. You’ll also receive an ongoing 5% discount on NEW services/manuscript projects (not to be combined with a booking at previous year’s prices).

Referrals Discount

If you refer a new client to me who ends up booking me for an edit, you will receive 5% off your next service. This discount coupon will be issued when the new client’s project/payment schedule is completed in full.

“Package” Discount

If you book my services and then decide to move forward with an additional service on that SAME manuscript, you will receive 10% off the second service automatically. I do want to reward my clients who decide they’d like me to keep working with their stories, but I don’t offer bundled services on my page because I don’t like to lock clients into packages up front. Afterall, not every editor is a good fit for every author and story. However, if we want to keep working on a story together, then this “package” discount can be instated for subsequent services on the same manuscript.

For example, if a client booked me for a Line Edit and wanted to use my services again for a follow up Copy Edit, I would provide a “package” discount of 10% off the Copy Edit price (2025 rate of CE is $8 per 1000 words/$0.008 per word), adjusting the rate down, equating to $7.20 for 1000 words ($0.0072 per word). Same applies for any other combination of services on the same manuscript.
