What is the Alpha & Omega Scrolls?
The Alpha & Omega Scrolls is an annual art and literary journal dedicated to showcasing the vibrant voices of high-school aged emerging writers and artists from across the Spokane region of eastern Washington state. Aiming to inspire a love of art and literature, this journal features visual art, poetry, creative nonfiction, and fiction, including a range of genre short stories and even dramatic works.
The A&O Scrolls encourages students to stretch their God-given talents, experience the full publishing process, and explore what it means to be a Christian Creative. Fully student-run and published, from marketing for submissions, to acquisitions, editing, and even formatting, the goal is to offer student creators an opportunity to push themselves in artistic excellence and to have access to a platform to share their work with a broader audience. To support these students and read their work, get your copy on Amazon, available in both print and e-book!
If you’re an educator who would like more information on my creative writing course “The Business of Publishing” or how we produce a journal through the class, please Contact Me! I’d love to chat with you! I believe empowering creatives to understand how to work in the industry and validating student artistic endeavors are both invaluable in this age of STEM and AI pursuits.
